October 9th 2006 - The Ferrysburg Fire Department will be holding our Fire Prevention Week Open House from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. There will be Fire Truck rides, displays, games, Sparky the Fire Dog and much more. AeroMed helicopter will be landing at around 5PM. Please come down and enjoy the fun.

December 2nd & 3rd 2005 - The Ferrysburg Fire Department will be collecting toys for the "Crusade for Toys" program in front of Leppinks Market located on 174th Ave. Please stop by and donate a new unwrapped toy so no child has to go without this Christmas.

Update: This year was another huge success! Thanks to everyone who donated and help make a child's Christmas special.

December 10, 2005 @ 6:30 PM - The annual Community Carol Sing will be held at the Wm. Ferry Park located on Pine St. Santa will arrive on a Fire Truck and there will be a Bon Fire and refreshments served, so come out and have a great time with your neighbors.

Update: A large group attended this years event and fun was had by all. Hope to see you there next year!

October 27, 2004 - Senators Stabenow and Levin announced that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has awarded $20,722 grant to the Ferrysburg Fire Department under the 2004 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program. The grant money will be used to purchase items such as inflatable air bags, infra-red imaging camera, ventilation saw, plus other misc. items. This is the third straight year that the Ferrysburg Fire Department has been awarded this grant.
