Become a member of our department, the personal rewards and satisfaction you will receive from serving your fellow citizens and neighbors are often beyond description. Being able to control a building fire, teach fire safety or giving help to accident victims will give you a great sense of accomplishment, but desire to help people is not the only thing you need, courage, dedication, assertiveness and being a team member all play a important role in our department. Our members are often called upon to perform hot, dirty, strenuous work in uncertain and hazardous environments.

Becoming a member of our department is a serious decision and commitment, but we think becoming a member will bring personal rewards and satisfaction, raise self-esteem and give you a great sense of accomplishment for a job well done.

You must be at least 18 years old, a high school graduate, have a valid driver's license and be able to respond to calls at any time of day or night. Firefighting experience is a plus, but is not required. Residence within the City limits is highly desirable.
